Traci Johnson joined the SSS Patient Support Committee in 2026, and we are thrilled to have her as part of our team. Traci brings compassion, authenticity, and a powerful commitment to supporting patients who may be facing the emotional and physical challenges of scoliosis. Her willingness to share her lived experience—and her desire to help others feel informed, prepared, and uplifted—makes her an invaluable addition to our volunteer community.

Traci’s scoliosis journey began unexpectedly at age eleven, leading to years of bracing and eventually Harrington Rod spinal fusion surgery in 1993. Her story spans childhood treatment, a challenging brace experience, a major surgery, and later the unique obstacles she faced during pregnancy and adulthood. Through it all, Traci discovered strength, confidence, and a passion for helping others navigate their own scoliosis path with courage and clarity.

We are grateful for Traci’s dedication, insight, and the positivity she brings to our team.
