Randy is one of the founding surgeon members of the Harms Study Group and serves on the HSG Executive Committee. He is an active participant in four prospective research studies. He is currently Emeritus Chief of Staff and Medical Director of Research at Shiners Hospitals for Children in Philadelphia while serving as Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Temple University School of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic training at Temple University, Philadelphia, with fellowship training at Alfred I. duPont Institute in Wilmington, Delaware. He was the President of the Scoliosis Research Society in 2005. He resides in Ocean City, New Jersey and joined the board in 2008.
