Domenica Jarvis joined the SSS Patient Support Committee in 2026, and we are truly grateful to have her as part of this team. Domenica brings compassion, strength, and a deep commitment to supporting patients and families who may be navigating the emotional and physical challenges of scoliosis. As she continues her volunteer journey with us, she is eager to make a meaningful impact in the scoliosis community while contributing her insight and lived experience to our mission.
Domenica’s scoliosis journey began at age twelve, when she was diagnosed with a 38‑degree curve that led to years of bracing and, ultimately, an 18‑hour spinal fusion surgery at fifteen. Her recovery—both physical and emotional—shaped her perspective and inspired her passion for helping others feel seen, supported, and understood as they move through their own healing process.
We are honored to have Domenica devote her time, energy, and heart to our mission, and we deeply appreciate the compassion, wisdom, and positivity she continues to bring to the team.
